For cold compress use, place the Winluck cold pack in the freezer for 1-2 hours, then remove and place a light towel or fabric barrier between the skin and cold pack before applying to the treatment area. Use the strap as necessary to hold the pack in place. It is recommended to consult a medical professional for the recommended time, but without advice, do not exceed 20 minutes of cold therapy at a time. Return the cold pack to the freezer and cool for 30 minutes before reapplying.

WARNING: Continuous cold in one area can cause injury. To avoid frostbite, cold therapy should not exceed 20 minutes at a time. Continually shift the position of the product when in use and never use longer than 20 minutes in one location. Check the skin under the pack frequently to avoid damage. Do not use a damaged pack - discard if punctured or torn.

For hot compress use, bring water to a boil, remove from heat, and immerse the gel pack for approximately 4-10 minutes. After 4 minutes, check every 1 minute to see if the correct temperature has been reached, then remove and dry for use. Do not microwave the gel pack.
